Hsv2 for 2 years now. Valtrex was working but outbreaks have recently increased (several times in a month) Any suggestions? Would another brand of medication work?

for those with HIV? what did your physician tell you the risk of infecting overs and how did you contract the virus?

I don't have HIV or Aids nor do I think there is a chance I may have it. But I have questions about it, I've had a few males contact me stating they were interested in me with the virus. What are the chances of spreading the virus to others? what are the chances of you having kids and the child being born with HIV acquired from the mother and yourself? Is HIV spread through kissing? How did you acquire the virus? Do you know who infected you with the virus? Were any of you born with the HIV Virus? What's the major differences between HIV virus and having Aids? If you have a different std and decide to date someone with the HIV virus will it increases the individual without it chances of getting it? Will u get it from someone sweat or drinking or eating after them? What about if they laying of your linen and sweat and linen touches you? can you get I that way? I don't mean no harm or to offend anyone in no type of way. Just Curious that's all

I posted the previous question about my labs coming back negative but the interpretation was that I was positive for hsv2. Here is the response from my doctor just now. "Unfortunately this test is fraught with limitations, and can be very frustrating. Repeating the blood test would not clarify things. The only way to be definitive is to perform a swab of an active lesion, which it sounds like does not happen in your situation.". What I am I to make of this.

I had the IgG Ab test done. I have never had the blisters that I read about as symptoms. My test results say <.9 which says negative but my doctor interpreted this as positive,for hsv2. I don't want to get my hopes up but I'm confused. Should I have another test to confirm the results?

Hi, I had my first outbreak about 7 weeks ago. I'm a black, dark skin man and it seems like the ulcers are healed but my skin is still discolored pink where they were. Will I be scarred in those areas for life or will they eventually heal? I feel like my skin should have returned back to normal now. How much longer and any recommendations to speed up recovery?
