I have hsv2 if someone gave me oral sex can then catch hsv2?

    YES - I just got diagnosed with it orally - it's not rare. I also thought it was difficult to transmit genitally to oral --- My doctor told me it's pretty common for people to have it both genitally and orally - you will get it from oral sex if your partner is flaring up. (I do not have any autoimmune disorder)

    Yes, you can but also remember that they can get hsv1.

    You can get exposure or infection of either hsv1 or 2 any place on your body. Hsv2 will usually not become symptomatic anywhere except the genital area (and Hsv1 in the oro facial area)or may become asymptomatic after 1 or 2 outbreaks. However, you will always shed partial virus dna from the sites of exposure which means a partner with no antibodies from previous exposure can become infected from contact.

    Is it possible sure. But Oral hsv2 is extremely rare so unless they have an autoimmune disease or disorder don't sweat it.
