I have found all of those things can trigger an outbreak for myself...as well as, shellfish, red meat, gluten, and too much stress.
Diet, meditation, fitness, and herbal supplements have helped me to manage it pretty well. My diet isn't vegetarian, but it leans that way. I do eat chicken, i avoid fish altogether, i eat eggs. I also avoid melons, pickled items, and BBQ...they all seem to trigger me. For supplements I do 500 to 1000mg of Lysine a day, I double it if I feel an outbreak coming on. I take a Zinc Asporotate and Glutathione daily too. If I feel an outbreak I will add Sarsaparilla, Burdock Root, and a Chinese herbal blend called "Long Dan Xie Gan Wan" which really seems to be helpful. This schedule of supplementation has stopped outbreaks from occurring when they feel like they are coming , and when it hasn't stopped them it seems to ease the symptoms.
